Guide and Virtual Tour of Bath: The Circus buildings.
Panorama | Review | Map
Apart from the Royal Crescent, there is properly not a more photographed architectural location in Bath than the Circus Buildings. Located just to the north of the city centre, The Circus is an extremely impressive set of three townhouse terraces built in a circular fashion around an equally circular park. This really is the epitome of Bath architecture and is one of the must-see tourist attractions of the city.
Surrounding The Circus are a number of restaurants and hotels as well as the Museum of East Asian Art and the Building of Bath Collection from the Bath Preservation Trust. Despite not actually being in the city centre itself, The Circus can be reached on foot from the Roman Baths in around 10 minutes, making for a lovely walk and a rich reward at the end of it. Make sure you have your camera to hand when visiting this spot.
