Guide and Virtual Tour of Bath: Sydney Gardens.
Panorama | Review | Map
Sydney Gardens is one of two large parks to the east of Bath city centre (along with Henrietta Park) and is officially the oldest park in Bath. The gardens are full of gorgeous flowerbeds, lawns, trees and pathways, making the park one of the best spots in the city to catch some fresh air, enjoy a picnic, or let the kids blow off steam for a while.
At 12 acres, there is plenty to see in the park, and there is even a replica Roman Temple of Minerva to find, built in 1909 to commemorate the purchase of the park by the city council.
Sydney Gardens is only about 10 minutesŐ walk from the city centre and is located behind the Holborn Museum of Art. Jane Austen and the Royal Family have all visited the gardens, so why don't you?
