This shot is taken just a few metres away from the banks of the Avon which is behind the statue you can see in the picture. Just on the edge of the city centre; walking past the alehouse and down York Street will take you into the heart of the city. If you keep on walking down York Street you will reach the famous Roman Baths, and Bath Abbey is just next door to that.
Another beautiful day, you can also see a group of tourists about to embark on one of the many sightseeing trips available. The stone townhouses you can see behind the group are typical of Bath architecture, and if you look carefully, you can see that the statue is also made of the same material.
