Milsom Street was one of the first developed when Bath first became a fashionable Spa town and has kept a lot of its original features Š in fact, many of the buildings are listed and the bank halfway along has some amazing baroque details. Milsom Street hasnÕt stood still, though. Jane Austen actually mentions a hat shop in the street in Northanger Abbey and it was also voted BritainÕs Best Fashion Street in 2010, so it is still keeping up with the flow!
Apart from some great clothes shops such as Gap, a huge WaterstoneÕs bookshop and the iconic JollyÕs department store, Milsom Street also has restaurants and pubs serving all different kinds of cuisine from all over the world. Just the thing for building up your strength for a bit more shopping.
