The uniquely named Hot Bath Street runs from Saint James's Parade up to Bath Street and is unsurprisingly the home of the Thermae Bath Spa with its naturally warm mineral waters. There is however plenty more than just the commercial baths to see on the street, with some of the most historical Georgian townhouses in the city to be found here. This particular area of the city has not been modernised and pedestrianised like the nearby shopping areas, making it perhaps a little grubbier, but also more authentic.
Bath is certainly one of the most modern historical cities in the country, with famous attractions such as Bath Abbey being just metres away from stores like BHS and Burger King. This means there really is something for everyone in Bath; from history buffs to shopping addicts.
