Perhaps not everyone's idea of fun; Bristol Postal Museum is nevertheless an interesting and unusual tourist attraction in the city. Located on Northgate Street, the museum documents all things postal and explains how Bath has played a prominent role in developing Britain's postal system. Now also sharing a building with a current, working post office, perhaps visiting the museum is a good opportunity to send a postcard or two.
You may stumble upon the museum on your way to the Podium Shopping Centre which is just around the corner, or perhaps when admiring Saint Michaels Church, which is right next door. Either way, stopping off to see where the Penny Black comes from makes for a nice little curiosity.
