Bath's new main bus station on Dorchester Street was only built in 2009 to replace the previous, rather rundown station. Located on the south east corner of the city centre, just 100 m away from Bath Spa Railway Station, it is a welcome addition to the city and used by locals and visitors alike. As you can see from the picture, Bath Bus Station is a rather modern looking building which contrasts nicely with the surrounding Georgian architecture.
Just across the road is the popular Southgate Shopping Centre, home to many well-known brands and retail outlets. Keep on walking in that direction and you will be in the city centre within about 10 minutes where you will find more shopping opportunities, as well as the famous Roman Baths, Bath Abbey and countless other wonderful building.
